Privacy
Short, because there is not much of it.
What we keep
If you send an enquiry, we keep your name, your email address, the week you asked about, how many of you there are if you told us, and your message. That is the whole list.
It arrives as an email in the owner's inbox and a copy goes to yours. There is no database of visitors behind this site and no account for you to create.
What we do with it
We answer you. If you book, we keep the exchange for as long as we need it for the booking and our own records. If you do not, it stays in an inbox and nothing happens to it.
We do not sell it, share it, add you to a mailing list, or pass it to an agency or a platform, because there is no agency and no platform.
Cookies and counting visits
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people actually read. It sets one cookie, named _ga, and it tells us how many people came and roughly where from. It does not tell us who you are.
Advertising features are switched off at the tag itself: no remarketing, no ad personalisation, no advertising identifiers, and your IP address is anonymised. Nothing on this site feeds an advertising profile.
If you would rather not be counted at all, a browser set to block third-party scripts, or Google's own opt-out add-on, takes care of it, and the site works exactly the same without it.
Who processes it
The site runs on Vercel, which handles the hosting. Enquiry emails are delivered by Resend. Both are ordinary infrastructure suppliers and both see the message in order to deliver it. Visit counting is Google Analytics, as described above.
Asking us to delete it
Write to us and say so, and we will delete the exchange. There is nowhere else for it to be.
The house itself
This is a private family home. We publish the village and an approximate map pin rather than the address, and every photograph on the site is re-encoded before it goes up so that no location data travels with it.
Any question about any of this goes to hello@villaheliosmani.com, and a person answers it.
